Not only that, but the chip achieved an astounding 5.7Ghz under a -100*C cascade. This achievement was done at the home of Xtreme Systems owner Charles Wirth (FUGGER). Granted these cpus were handpicked and delivered by none other than Intel’s very own engineer Francois Piednoel. They were chosen for their superior overclocking quality. This is absolutely insane considering most retail chips top out well under 5Ghz. Intel arranged this meeting to gain insight on how to release a new stepping for Core i7 cpu’s so they overclock better under low temp/high voltage conditions (i.e. Phase Change, Dry Ice or LN2). Lets hope this meeting is a success… 5.7Ghz+ Core i7’s FTW!
System Specs:
Core i7 965 Extreme @ 5.013Ghz ( 1.47 vCore)
Intel DX58SO Smackover Bios 403
Thermaltake 120 w/ two fans
4 cores / threads enabled (70*C on all cores)

This one got me really excited…
Taken from tgdaily.com:
“Chip manufacturer Micron has demonstrated what is, at least to our knowledge, the fastest solid state disk drive (SSD) demonstrated so far. A demo unit shown in a blurry YouTube video was hitting data transfer rates of 800 MB/s and can expand to apparently about 1 GB/s. The IO performance is about twice of the best performance we have seen to date.”

From LegitReviews:
AMD recently invited some key members of the press down to their Austin, Texas headquarters to take a look at Phenom II. This processor has been known under the code name ‘Deneb’ for many months now, but Phenom II is what the processor will be launched as. The processor overclocked to some very impressive numbers. NDA still blocks revealing full details, but some sites let slip that the PII reached 6.2Ghz on LN2 at a temperature of -185°C! This is great news for us Extreme Overclockers, and hopefully we will see performance wars again between the red and blue camps!!

The solid state drive is the data storage solution of the future. In their best implementations they provide lighting fast random access times and higher sustained read/write rates than any hard disk drive. They don’t make noise, heat up, or degrade due to moving parts like their mechanical counterparts. Solid state drives are theoretically smaller, cooler, quieter and more reliable than the mechanical disks that have been bogging down our systems and annoying us with that high pitched whine for countless years.

Looking for another comparison of P45 to every other chipset on the market? Looking for yet another roundup of the countless P45 boards available (with the inevitable conclusion that clock for clock performance differs by little more than a margin of error)? Well too bad, because I’ve got the board and you…well you may or may not, but I’m the one doing the review.
So today we’ll be taking a look at this board and assessing two of the major claims that separates it from the sea of sameness of the P45 chipset market and puts it in a place of honor among the P45 kings: unmatched stability at incredibly high FSB and killer DDR2 bandwidth overclocking capabilities. This review will be short but incredibly sweet, relying on screenshots and results to do most of the talking.
