A.K.A. TheKarmakazi
Bio: My name is Jamie, I am a 26 year old computer repair technician living in the Western New York area. I also run a online business selling computer components, systems, software, and consumer electronics. I have an Associates Degree in Business Administration, and an Associates Degree in English.
My love of computers started early, I could type my name before I could write it (at age 2 on an Apple 2E). My father was a computer programmer (Visual Foxbase, RPG, Assembly, Fortran, etc) and by the ripe old age of 7 he had taught me every MS-DOS command you could think of. This began what would later become a major interest and addiction to all aspects of computing. I have been an avid hardware aficionado for the past 10 years or so, and into extreme overclocking since 2006. I’m writing this blog mainly for fun and to help people make smart decisions on hardware purchases. My style of reviewing is completely unbiased, there’s no favoritism or “fanboy-ism.” I rate products on their ease of setup, performance, cost, and (where applicable) overclockability.
I frequent many hardware and overclocking forums/sites around the globe. You may recognize me as TheKarmakazi on those sites.

A.K.A. Slovnaft
Bio: Hi I’m Julian, I enjoy a good Merlot and long moonlit walks on the beach. I’m 18 years old and currently working as an Applications Engineer at Lawrence Pumps Inc (it’s a little cooler than it sounds). I live just North of Boston, MA, but will be spending most of the year at Wesleyan University working on a degree in Ontology. I have experience coding in C (for this), as well as other less useful languages like Brainfuck and P”.
I’ve been using computers mostly to play AD&D RPGs all my life, but only started overclocking about two years ago when I discovered my OEM motherboard had a jumper that could be switched to unlock BIOS options. Since then I’ve taken up benching as somewhat of a part time job be it air or subzero. Most of my overclocking experience is based on socket 478 and LGA775 platforms and almost every corresponding chipset, even a few fly-by-night Nvidia chipsets. I’m relatively active on a few forums, mostly Xtreme Systems, and you may recognize me as Slovnaft.
While I can’t promise I won’t occasionally rave about my favorite hardware, I do hope to preserve good scientific process in all my reviews to produce easily interpretable results and meaningful data from the perspectives of stock users, the average overclocker, and the xtreme junkie. Feel free to contact me for benches, settings, or any questions.
